How do I properly install my Aquastrong pool pump?
Aquastrong pumps are designed for easy DIY installation and come with everything needed: adapters, O-rings, electrical tape, and Teflon tape. Be sure to follow the instruction manual or video guides provided. For warranty to remain valid, proper grounding of the system is required.
Why is my Aquastrong pump not priming properly or losing pressure?
This usually happens due to clogged skimmer baskets, dirty filters, blocked suction lines, or air leaks. Check all connections, clean the baskets, and make sure the system is filled with water. Air bubbles in the return line often indicate a suction-side air leak.
What size Aquastrong pump do I need for my pool?
It depends on your pool’s volume and plumbing.
3HP pumps are best for high-flow systems
Reminder: 1.5″ plumbing maxes out at ~45 GPM.
2HP pumps are ideal for pools 20,000 gallons or more

This submersible pump works exactly as expected and drains water surprisingly fast. The automatic float switch turns the pump on and off as water levels change, so you donβt have to monitor it constantly. I also like the built-in handle that lets you hold the float for continuous operation when needed. It comes with multiple hose adapters, including a garden hose connection, which makes it very versatile. The long power cord is convenient, and the overall build feels durable and reliable. Perfect for draining pools, basements, or other water-removal tasks.

Used it for draining an above ground pool. Went much faster than the standard drains. Once I got the pool down to about 6 inches I used a power washer to clean the bottom up and it pumped out faster then the washer was pumping in. Naturally it will clog if you have debris in the pool, but worked great on a little dirty water.

Use to drain 1/2 about 10K gallons, worked great fits a standard garden hose with the adaptor as well a backwash hose. You can’t hear it in the pool pumping which is nice. I pumped out of a fifty foot hose and pressure was good. I used a low friction hose which is good for power washing. Remember longer the hose and smaller the diameter the less flow rate. Great value was going to cost 50 dollar to rent.
